There is some disagreement on whether aliens and their associated phenomena are a modern occurrence or, as some hold, whether our stories pertaining to gods and sources of great knowledge point to contact stretching back across the whole of human history.
There is also lively debate as to whether aliens may, in fact, be fae creatures, but we will leave such arguments to others and simply present the folklore of each to the best of our ability in accordance with how their tellers may label the stories.
